Team Calibration

Calibration is essential, and can be a fun team-building exercise. I’ve built tasting games for lay people and palate development exercises for experts. Understanding how we experience scents and flavors is one of my favorite things to talk about!

Hiring & Training Programs

Finding candidates who fit your businesses mission and values is a skill; having a clear idea of what your business needs and tight processes to handle the hiring process can save your business a ton of time and money. Once they’re on board, bringing new hires fully into the company culture is a must. Building a common language of standards and recipes is the best way to ensure happy employees and happier customers. Use these trainings to create SOPs and regular QC checks to make sure every drink and every roast is up to snuff!

Menu Development

Coffee menus should be delicious, easy to execute consistently, and represent your brand authentically. I love building menus of green, roasted, and brewed coffee based on your companies’ needs, tastes, and culture. Creating signature beverages that are unique and delightful is one of my strong suits (not to mention a fun hobby).

I’ve bought coffee as a roaster, coffee director, and as an importer. I have close relationships with some of the best farms in Latin America. Let’s talk about coffee quality, buying strategies, and inventory management.

I’ve designed cafe’s, kitchens, and production spaces. I’m obsessed with service flow, efficiency, and creating beautiful spaces that are functional for staff and intuitive for guests.
